In late August I got to assist Sports Illustrated photographer Michael LeBrecht while he was commissioned to shoot the Brooklynettes dance team in Brooklyn, NY at Barclays Center. If you aren’t aware of Michael’s work you can see check out all of his awesome work here: https://www.michaellebrecht.com . Michael is and amazing photographer and a great guy. I’ve learned a lot from him just watching him work, talking to him and picking his brain. I also got to meet Carlos Miguel who’s another photographer with Sports Illustrated. For this shoot I helped setup lights and props…the technical for that is a Grip. We started at 8am and the shoot lasted until 8pm. It was a lot of work, but fun work and a great learning experience. By the end of the shoot I was barely able to walk, my feet were on fire and I needed a bed. In between helping setup lights and props I was able to get some behind the scenes shots of Michael and the Brooklynettes in action. I learned a lot and had a great time.
