In a mission to dig deeper with my photography this past summer I started taking pictures of what goes on before the game. I’d get to the ballpark in some instances two-three hours earlier to take pictures of batting practice. Teams were gracious enough to let me into their space and let me be a fly on the wall while they’re getting ready for the game. And there’s even some pictures of the unsung heroes of the game…The grounds crew. Here’s some of what I captured during the 2018 baseball season.
